My name is Carrie and I care about gifts—a lot. I have an obsession with the gift hunt that borders on a problem. I'll never walk by a gift shop without at least a quick browse and I spend a great many hours searching online or in store for each and every birthday, anniversary, shower, housewarming, and every other gift-giving occasion. It's endless. It seems I am constantly seeking that perfect present that will surprise and delight my recipient—a gift that says "I understand you, I appreciate you, and I care deeply about making your life easier and/or more joyful."

I often find the gift guides I search online unhelpful, so I decided to start my own lists of great gifts that I would actually return to again and again.
